Wellness Coordinator

Develops, implements, maintains and evaluates all components of a district-wide wellness program and reports wellness program activities to the Group Insurance Committee as requested. Activities and responsibilities include increasing employee health/lifestyle/wellness awareness, education and knowledge, and changing employee health/lifestyle/wellness attitudes and behaviors through development of newsletters, brochures, videotapes, audio tapes, lectures, posters, motivation programs, etc.; establishing, coordinating and directing on-site wellness and health promotion programs at each district facility; coordinating health fairs and individual health/lifestyle assessments; performing evaluations of effectiveness of programs for the district; preparing progress and statistical reports for management regarding program trends, usage and cost benefits; oversees the district’s "Employee Assistance Program", annual health screenings, Health Risk Assessments, and Disease Management Programs; collaborates with third party administrators and local hospitals; and adheres to HIPAA rules and procedures. Preferably, will be able to organize, design, and maintain programs on the district’s wellness website.
