Winter Jan 8 - May 25, 2018 Education and Outreach Intern

Rocky Mountain National Park has a busy education and outreach program focused on non-traditional Park users and school aged children. Interns assist park staff with the development and administration of this program.

Rocky Mountain National Park seeks interns of exceptional ability, who think and act creatively, who have demonstrated communication and problem solving skills, and who are fully computer literate. Candidates must be dedicated to and experienced with learner-centered education with children.

Duties include preparing and facilitating environmental education activities at schools and in the field, to a variety of diverse audiences. Also assisting with teacher workshops, data collection, and preparing educational materials. The majority of work, about 60%, is teaching field programs including ecosystem hikes and outdoor station based programs.  Programs are physically active lasting from 2 to 5 hours. Moderate hiking is required. Valid driver’s license required.
